In an effort to transform street children and improve the country, the organization aims to construct a rehabilitation center and start Street Kids in Plastic Project, or SKIPP, a plastic recycling company. Along with getting street children reconnected with their families and loved ones, the group aspires to see them given a reliable source of basic requirements and the opportunity to pursue higher education, both academically and spiritually.

Once a month, the group organizes street-feeding events. All of our volunteers show up to prepare meals in the street kitchen, a makeshift kitchen setup, where we cook everything with love, during these programs. We talk to the children, hear about their experiences, and offer them support in any way we can.
The group collaborates with other organizations whose views on the protection of street children align with our own. One such partner is Circles of Hope, which participated in one of our programs and provided street children with social and psychological help as well as civic education on children's rights.
Our volunteers can dispose of their outgrown clothing through our clothes drive activities. After being cleaned and organized, these garments are given to the street kids, who receive them with open arms.
We want to show the world how gifted and lovely these kids are, and that they should have the chance to lead respectable lives too, so we publish their tales on social media.

Chidi Powell Orwa
Asst. Chairperson/ Treasurer
I work hand in glove with the chairperson of the foundation to implement the foundation’s objectives and aspirations. From time to time we retreat to assess the strategies put in place to ensure we attain our objectives. I also seek sources of funds to cater for the foundation's various activities. I receive and keep count of the foundation’s monetary resources. Our foundation operates chiefly on grants, donations, and funding from volunteers and other aid-offering bodies. Consequently, my other key role is to seek and make applications for grants, donations, and funding
Brendah Nyaega
Secretary
It’s a great privilege to serve as the secretary in this visionary foundation. My main role is to ensure proper record-keeping for our foundation. These include records for minutes of various meetings of the foundation and reports of our activities among others. These records help track our progress and keep us in check even as we strive to achieve our goal of rehabilitation the street kids. I am thoroughly excited to be a part of this team and I view research and publication on the plight of street kids as an important arm in achieving our objective
Lewis Minda
Projects Managing Director
My job involves finding sustainable solutions to immediate community challenges by engaging street children in creative activities. Our ultimate goal is empowering street individuals to generate income through acceptable means, fostering their journey toward financial stability. We believe in the ripple effect – the success of one street child inspiring the next. Our oncoming projects, including the Clothes Drive Movement and the Street Kids In Plastics Project (SKIPP), reflect our commitment. Join us in this noble cause as volunteers, sponsors, or partners, and remember, 'Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me' (Matt. 25:40).

A question is asked, “Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?” Helping your fellow man is the greatest achievement and satisfaction you can ever have. Join us as we give a child hope, as we help build dreams. As we help their faith lead them somewhere better. Join us, and God will bless you.

Machum chum' is a term we used as kids referring to walking around the block and picking up plastic and metallic stuff to go and re-sell (scrap metal yards) for a small amount(ksh. 1 per Kg of scrap, on a good day). Some of my friends would end up fleeing from their homes and starting a life on the street. Think about this, How bad was the situation at home that forced this CHILD to make the unconventional decision of opting out? and staying out that long. I've always wanted to be part of such a young and vibrant group, OOTS has given me more than this. It has given me a platform to contribute in the smallest way in my community. In turn, I’ve learned to appreciate the smallest blessings.

Associate Communication Director
Volunteering with the Out of The Street Foundation has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Witnessing the transformation in the lives of street children has been nothing short of inspiring. Through the foundation’s tireless efforts, these children are given a chance at a better future, a future free from the hardships of life on the streets. Providing them with education, shelter, and support has been a collective effort that truly makes a difference. I am grateful to be part of an organization that is dedicated to making a positive impact and breaking the cycle of homelessness.
